take this opportunity to welcome the following new members into our

Looking
at the service numbers listed above it appears that George, Alan and Reg
must have joined up around the same time and I'll take a bet that this
is the first time in over 50 years that they have been listed in the same
sequence.
Peter Branson is what may be termed a "reverse" Odd Bod. Normally our members are RAAF who went to Europe and served with the RAF, but Peter is a RAF bod who came to the Colonies and served with a RAF unit based in Darwin - 54 Squadron, RAF - a part of what was known as the "Churchill Wing". We extend the hand of friendship to you all and hope to see you at some of our functions during the coming years. |

This photo of an Mk
X Beaufighter is published to honour a promise made to our President that,
when a decent picture of a Beau turned up, we would print it. This follows
a tradition of printing photos of aircraft that members of the Committee
flew during 1939-45. |

MILLENIUM / FEDERATION
Those members who will be accompanied by family and/or friends are asked to list all of their names so that we can provide identity tags. Also please note that the table settings are for 10 people. Those requiring special diets are asked to advise Norm Smithells (see the entry on the booking form). Any of our members who took advantage of the part-payment scheme are now reminded to remit the balance of the luncheon charges no later than Friday 9 November, 2001. Likewise, all final applications, with payment, must be with Norm no later than the same date. The timing of the event, 12.00 noon for 12:30 pm, has been selected to ensure that those attending can possibly avoid the peak hour travel and private transport traffic congestion. |
