Red Sea Spin

SIR - I wonder if your readers have heard the story of how Moses and his escaping slaves arrived at the Red Sea with the Egyptians in hot pursuit.

Calling for his spin doctor, Moses asked, "So where are the boats?"

"Boats?" his media guru replied. "What boats?"

"The boats I told you to have ready here," said Moses. "What do you expect me to do, miraculously part the sea, escape through the gap and have the sea close again when our pursuers are in the middle of it?"

And the media guru said, "Listen, Moshe, you pull that off and I'll get you a page and a half in the Old Testament."
